I have a checklist for my equipment. I check off each item packed into my camera bag as I pack it in the bag as I never take everything I own. This also helps at the end of the trip/shoot/wedding or whatever to make sure everything that went with me, comes back.2. I pack the night before the event/walk/vacation, etc.Hope that helps. Glad you were able to salvage the day.

I must be sub-human. I’ve never, ever in 25 years of shooting forgotten anything as:

1. I will keep it in mind as I decide on which images I'm going to submit.

Excellent advice, Jason. Why do you think I tell people all of the time that my blog is by the seat of my pants and highly random. That totally excuses me for any and all goof ups.And here, I'll make you feel super good. How would you like to drop a 5D Mark II after only owning it for a few weeks? There's my big oops moment that I had several months ago. Fortunately it's a pretty tough camera! :)

Jason,

Good grief man…..
