I couldn't get in to see the dentist for a few days, but he recommended I get some temporary crown adhesive at the drug store to hold it for a few day. It worked and the ache stopped as soon as the crown was in place. Hope you can get it looked after soon. I had a crown come loose with exactly the same symptoms.
